If I always had calcifications in my breast for 22 years how did they turn in to cancercous microcalicifications. How does a cancer breast lump form compared with microcalcifications that were always there that were benign but changed into cancer.

Most women have some calcifications in their breast. Microcalcifications somtimes form in a pattern around cancerous tumors. These are new microcalcifications caused by the cancer not the benign calcifications turning to cancer.
