How does breast cancer differ with a lump compared to microcalcifications

How does breast cancer differ with a lump compared to microcalcifications?
If I always had calcifications in my breast for 22 years how did they turn in to cancercous microcalicifications. How does a cancer breast lump form compared with microcalcifications that were always there that were benign but changed into cancer.
