Can you get breast cancer from your breasts getting hit a bunch

Can you get breast cancer from your breasts getting hit a bunch?
My boyfriend and i were play fighting. He accidentally punched my boob and I said, "Hey! I could get breast cancer that way!" I heard that somewhere, I just don't really know if its true or not.

Sorry, you cant.
2 :
No...
3 :
I dont think so, cancer cells dont become activated from hitting or pinching.
4 :
I spoke to a doctor in Lakeview OR several years ago. He had done research on a breast cancer cluster in the area. He discovered most of the women that had it rode horses when they were girls without proper support. He said all that agitation is what caused so many to have breast cancer in later life.
5 :
No, it is not true that you can get cancer that way. It is true that an extremely heavy punch could result in a blood clot and that could develop into some kind of cancer in the future but this is very very unlikely and hitting is not "enough" for that.
6 :
hitting is not enough to cause cancer.
7 :
No, can't cause cancer. But I know it's hell of a painful to be hit there

Why is always particulary breast cancer that people raise money for

Why is always particulary breast cancer that people raise money for?
Why is always particulary breast cancer that people raise money for? I mean Tom Green lost his left testical due to cancer, but nobody raises money for testical cancer, or what about lung cancer, stomach cancer, skin cancer, bone cancer, etc etc, but most people only raise money for breats cancer specifically. Makes one wonder, is it all being done out of favortism??? What I mean is, if a women loses her breats thats more important then a man loses his lungs????

Actually my boyfriend asks me this question all the time and I don't know the answer either. I would really like to know to.
2 :
Actually breast cancer is very common so it has lots of people raising money for it. She gets it and her whole family is into helping her so they support it. And there are lots of of other organizations that raise money for different types of cancer there just not as big.
3 :
The four most common cancers are: Breast Cancer Colon Cancer Lung Cancer Prostate Cancer Lung cancer was attacked long ago by going after the cigarette industry Prostate Cancer is so slow growing that some doctors suggest not doing anything about it in older men.
4 :
They probably pour more money into recruiting, they do kind of come and go, I grew up with Easter seals, of course muscular dystrophy on labor day weekend, in the 80's it was all about raising money for aids....don't worry about it too much, if you want to support lung cancer bear in mind that the american lung association is the oldest charity in America
5 :
Because breast cancer is one of the most prevalent forms of cancer. Aside from non-melanoma skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in women. Breast cancer is the number one cause of cancer death in Hispanic women. It is the second most common cause of cancer death in white, black, Asian/Pacific Islander, and American Indian/Alaska Native women. Most people have been affected by breast cancer in someway even if they haven't had the cancer -- its affected a female family member, a close female friend, a female co-worker -- it's at least hurt them and, in many cases, it's killed them.

The Breast Cancer Screening Mistake Millions Make… Posted By Dr. Mercola | October 15 2010 | 18,197 views A Close to ZERO Percent Benefit … In the latest study, researchers analyzed data from over 40,000 Norwegian women with breast cancer and found that those who had mammograms and were treated by special breast cancer medical teams had a 10 percent lower breast cancer death rate than women who had neither. However, they also found that women over the age of 70 who were treated by the special teams had an 8 percent lower death risk from breast cancer, even though they had not received mammograms. What this suggests, and what Dr. H. Gilbert Welch wrote in an accompanying editorial, is that mammograms may have only reduced the cancer death rate by 2 percent -- an amount so small it may as well be zero. So the fact remains that there is no solid evidence that mammograms save lives. Past research has also demonstrated that adding an annual mammogram to a careful physical examination of the breasts does not improve breast cancer survival rates over getting the examination alone. Now, if mammograms were completely safe and capable of reducing your cancer death risk even a small amount, you might be able to make an argument for their use. But mammograms are not only ineffective … they're unsafe as well

How can she have breast cancer when shes just young and besides you can tell if you have breast cancer by checking for a lump which is done by raising your arm and poking around your breasts.
2 :
no but it kill you,,,
3 :
I doubt it . I feel your friend being so young just isn't done growing there. Tell her that patience is what she needs. IF her mother and/or any other female relatives are fuller up top tell her that is often genetic and she will just have to wait and see how that goes, when the time is right she will fill out in that if others in her family tree are bigger up top. Women of all different sizes up top have gotten breast cancer. It is either genetic related as to the risk of this (often the case actually) or some exposure to things like LONG time use of birth control pills and smoking increases the risk of that at the same time. Also things like cancer causing items exposure. Like chemicals, asbestos, radiation to some extent, etc.

you have a lump on your breast...?
2 :
You yourself cannot determine if you have breast cancer. What you can do is examine yourself for any unusual lumps or masses in the breast tissue, and then if you find something you need to go to the doctor and only a doctor and tests can determine if it's cancerous. Most breast lumps are benign, but don't count on it. You have a family history of breast cancer, so you should talk to your doctor about regular screenings for it. Most breast cancers aren't life threatening if caught in time. My own mother had breast cancer, and lived for more than 30 years afterwards, (she died of an strep infection), and in those days, they had to do quite a bit of radiation, as nowadays it's easier to detect and treat. Don't worry about it excessively, but get regular screenings and talk with your doctor. Good luck to you.
3 :
be careful if you get lump on your breast,it become bigger and hurt maybe genetic factor can cause you get this illness too. check and go to doctor immediately!
4 :
1. you should go for a mammogram. 2. should palpate your breast everyday when you shower to check for lumps. if the lump runs around it is probably benign but if its stuck down or hard, its dangerous. remember to palpate your armpit too as breast cancers would spread there first. 3.look for any abnormal discharge from your nipple 4.if you lose your appetite or weight for some reason, this is a bad sign. it means it probably has spread around your body. any back pain, breathing difficulty or abdominal distension or any disturbances in your brain function is bad too as breast cancer commonly spreads to the bones, lungs, abdomen and brain. 5. there are some genetic tests can be done to look for any inheritence of genes that predispose to cancer. these are called BRACA genes. you can ask your doctor about this and he can check you or your relatives with breast cancer

How can you prevent breast cancer and what can cause it

How can you prevent breast cancer and what can cause it?

My mom had breast cancer..and her doctor said it was because she didn't watch where she was going. Its kinda funny but seriously serious. Try your best not to bump then or hurt them in anyway...there are other ways of getting it but just look where you put your boobies.
2 :
don't smoke, don't drink, don't do drugs and don't ear fast food
3 :
Get regular mamograms
4 :
do regular self exams and mammagrams
5 :
Prevention: I heard eating brocolli. I heard that breast cancer is in your genes. So if your Mom's mom had it, your mom might get it, as well as you. :( Luckily, nobody in my family has this. It is very scary!
6 :
Eat a healthy diet, don't smoke, make sure you get breast exams every year and also check them yourself once a month. You can't prevent from getting breast cancer it is in your genes but you can keep getting examined and mammograms once a yr after 40yr.

If you want to do a proper fundraiser and not just raise a little money yourself and send it to a charity, you might want to look on a charity's website. They usually have a page to help you i.e. the ones below. Good luck

Is it possible to have a tumor in your breast without it being breast cancer

Is it possible to have a tumor in your breast without it being breast cancer?
My mother recently found a small tumor-like growth under the skin towards the center of her chest on her breast. I'm really worried that its cancer but she won't go to the doctor! Is it possible for it to just being a "harmless tumor" like she says it is? Please help, I've never had to deal with anything that has to do with cancer and I'm really worried!

It could just be a cyst, and I have had one of those. I had it checked out just to make sure. But if it is cancer and your mom does not get it checked out to be sure, then she might as well start making her will out. My mom kept putting off going to the doctor and when she finally agreed to go see the doctor on Monday, she died that Sunday night. If she won't do it for herself, ask her to do it for you

What are some good motivational and insporational songs for someone with breast cancer?
My aunt was just diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. I'd like to make a CD of inspirational and upbeat songs to give her hope and motivation as she goes thru chemo, surgery and radiation over the course of the next few months. Any great suggestions would be appreciated.

I am so sorry! I wish her and you all the best of luck. I don't know if you'll like my style of music but I'll pitch a few to you. Down to the river to pray:From the sound track to O' Brother where art thou.(Bluegrass gospel) I hope you dance: By Leann Womack(Country) Like a rock:By Bob Segar(Rock) I will survive:Oldies(can't remember who sings it) I'll fly away: Allison Krause from the soundtrack of O' Brother Where Art Thou? One of my personal favorites. I lost my father to lung cancer back in 1993, I can only imagine how hard it is for you to find the right music to put together for your aunt. Best wishes.

She has gotten a Zune & asked me if I could help her find inspirational/motivational upbeat music to load on it, so I was looking around for a list to help me get started. Really appreciate all of the great answers here!
