My school's key club is going to raise money to donate to breast cancer research, but I'm not sure what the best organization would be to send the money. We want it to be in Illinois. please help!

Although October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, why limit your donations to Breast Cancer Research? The American Cancer Society is a worthy cause too and will graciously accept your donations. I am a breast cancer survivor.

It is nice to donate to a local research organization, so why not ask at the Town Hall, Library, Church etc. for local approved charities - and choose one of those? As a previous answer pointed out, there are other 199 other cancers, just as worthy as breast cancer, but it gets the majority of funding - so give someone else a chance! And I am a breast cancer survivor - wrote www.after-cancer.com and still feel that others should have a chance! Good luck and thanks for your kind efforts on behalf of all of us. Verite R
