im doing a project in biology about breast cancer and i was wondering if anyone knew the answers to any of these questions 1. which chromosome is related to breast cancer? 2. the name of the protein coded for by the gene that is defected 3. the age of onset 4. is it sex-linked or autosomal? 5. is it dominant or recessive? also if you know any websites with a lot of information on breast cancer please tell me those too links would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance

1. which chromosome is related to breast cancer? HER2 gene on Chromosome 17 2. the name of the protein coded for by the gene that is defected HER2/neu 3. the age of onset umm... you mean average? Not sure, probably >35 4. is it sex-linked or autosomal? Since it’s not on a sex chromosome I suppose it’s Autosomal :) 5. is it dominant or recessive? Definitely not dominant… I suppose recessive, but I’m not actually sure that’s confirmed. check out these: Wikipedia, emedicine, webMD
