Is it true that wearing a wired bra could give you breast cancer

Is it true that wearing a wired bra could give you breast cancer?
I was just now reading an answer - and it said that if you wear a wired bra while sleeping, it could give you breast cancer? If it's true, then how? I am usually wearing bra's while I am sleeping, just because it is too cold to take it off! hehehe. Please help.

No it's nonsense. Most of these rumours originate from hoax emails. Breast cancer, like other cancers, happens when normal cells change so that they behave in an uncontrolled way; your underwear cannot trigger this process or have any effect on it - and that applies no matter how tight the bra, or how long it's worn for, or whether it's wired or not, whether you're sleep or awake, or any of the other silly myths that teenage girls frighten each other with.
